Si bien es cierto el rechazo al proyecto minero
Conga no comenzó a finales del año pasado, sino en el 15 de abril del año 2005
cuando un grupo de dirigentes ambientales, colectivos ambientalistas y autoridades

sin embargo recién el año pasado ganó una mayor presencia mediática que lo
estableció como el principal conflicto social del país.
Inclusive a inicios del año pasado cuando el
Gobierno regional de Cajamarca aún se mantenía al margen, se realizó una
inspección a los humedales de la laguna el Perol, donde sospechosamente
desapareció la acta, cuestionando al vice presidente regional César Aliaga Díaz
porque su hermano ocupaba una gerencia en la minera, dicha acta reclamaba el Consejo
Regional pues era indispensable para la aprobación de la Ordenanza Regional 036
que se publicó recién a mediados del año pasado.
Pasado el tiempo la lucha empezó contra el
Gobierno regional presionando para que saque un Ordenanza Regional que proteja
los acuíferos y las cabeceras de cuenca, llegando inclusive los Frente de
Defensa tomar el Gobierno Regional para escuchar la posición del presidente
Gregorio Santos Guerrero, es allí donde para reivindicarse se dirige al caserío
Pampa Verde en el distrito de Huasmín y convoca a un paro regional indefinido.
La
resistencia se intensifica a partir del 16 de setiembre del año pasado ante
la negativa de Minera Yanacocha que pretendía construir una carretera por el
centro de dos importantes lagunas como son Laguna Seca y Laguna Negra en el
Centro Poblado El Alumbre.
, cerca de
medio millar de comuneros de 8 caseríos decidieron iniciar un paro
indefinido, el mismo que empezó a las 5 de la tarde de ayer.
Los
pobladores de 8 comunidades como: Namococha, Quengorio Alto, El Alumbre,
Corralpampa, San Antonio, entre otras, señalaron que defenderán las lagunas
Seca y Negra hasta con sus propias vidas por considerar que son las nacientes
principales de todas las aguas que vierten a otras lagunas, ríos y quebradas
de la zona, logrando paralizar los trabajos y desalojar la maquinaria que
operaba a menos de 100 metros de las lagunas..

Lagunas Negra y Seca, se encuentran ubicadas en
la parte alta de la laguna Mamacocha y su impacto se aprecia en la apertura
de trochas.

atractivo turístico si se potencializa el turismo en la zona.

por el centro de las dos Yanacocha pretendía contruir una carretera

PARO DE LA ENCAÑADA
El
alcalde del distrito La Encañada Jorge Vásquez con el apoyo de todas sus
comunidades, empezó el 11 de octubre un paro indefinido en contra de Minera
Yanacocha. reclamando el incumplimiento de compromisos por parte de la
transnacional Newmont Mining Corporation.
La
comunidad de San Andrés de Negritos se atrincheraron en diferentes puntos de la
carretera Cajamarca – Bambamarca. A la altura del kilómetro 29 los
manifestantes bloquearon 2 kilómetros de la carretera para obstaculizar el pase
de los vehículos de Yanacocha. Más tarde se integraron otras comunidades en
apoyo a la medida de lucha, conformando un grupo de cerca de mil pobladores.
Otro piquete se dirigió a la zona de Huandoy y China Linda, que pertenecen a
Minera Yanacocha.
Simultáneamente al paro encañadino un grupo de
desadaptados aparentemente enviados por los mineros porque nunca se detuvo a
los responsables, el domingo 16 de octubre incendiaron 9 maquinarias pesadas.

los días 9 y 10 de noviembre un paro regional solicitando a Ollanta
Humala que comprenda esta lucha, porque no es contra su gobierno sino de apoyo
para que no se deje chantajear por las transnacionales.
